
The Zamfara State Police Command, in commemoration of National Police Day, carried out a community sanitation exercise alongside a free medical outreach programme as part of its commitment towards ensuring community service delivery and for partnership and networking aimed at trust building.
The sanitation exercise, conducted in key areas across the state capital, saw police officers actively participating in rhe exercise such streets clearing, evacuating waste which serves as disruption to drainage systems, and promoting environmental hygiene.
The initiative was aimed at fostering a clean and healthy environment for residents while strengthening police-community relations.
In addition, the Command organized a medical outreach programme which provided free medical consultations such as, basic health screening and distribution of essential medications to members of the public.
The outreach was facilitated by medical professionals who attended to various health challanges and educated beneficiaries on the importance of maintaining good health.
Speaking on the significance of the event, the Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command,Cp A .M Bello psc+,Mnips reiterated that, National Police Day serves as an opportunity to not only celebrate the dedication and sacrifice of police personnel but also to give back to the society through impactful community-based initiatives.
The Zamfara State Police Command remain steadfast in its determination towards ensuring public safety and security while contributing to the overall development and welfare of the community.
Members of the public are encouraged to continue to cooperate with the Police and support ongoing efforts by the Government to build a peaceful and secure society.
