Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu, has attributed the successes recorded by his administration to the cordial working relationship among the three arms of government in the state.
The Governor made this remark while hosting members of the Legislature, and Judiciary to a Ramadan Iftar at the Presidential Lodge, Sokoto.
Dr. Aliyu said the existing synergy and mutual respect among the three arms had significantly contributed to the smooth implementation of government policies and programmes aimed at improving the lives of the people.
He noted that the cooperation and understanding between the Executive, the State House of Assembly, and the Judiciary had strengthened governance and enhanced service delivery across the state.
The Governor assured that his administration would continue to uphold the principles of transparency, consultation, and inclusiveness to sustain the peaceful working relationship for the overall development of Sokoto State.
He urged all stakeholders to continue to pray for the progress, unity, and prosperity of the state, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
Sokoto State Chief Judge, Justice Sa’idu Muhammad Sifawa, commended the Governor for fostering unity and mutual respect among the three arms of government.
He described the gesture of hosting the Iftar as a reflection of the administration’s commitment to institutional harmony, noting that such engagements help to deepen collaboration and understanding among key stakeholders.
Justice Sifawa assured that the Judiciary in the state would continue to discharge its constitutional responsibilities with integrity, fairness, and impartiality, stressing the importance of upholding the rule of law as a cornerstone for sustainable development.
The Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Tukur Bala Bodinga, lauded the Governor for sustaining a healthy and productive relationship with the Legislature, noting that the synergy has enhanced the smooth passage of important bills and effective oversight of government programmes.
Hon. Bodinga reaffirmed the commitment of the House to continue working closely with the Executive and the Judiciary in the overall interest of the people of Sokoto State, assuring the Governor of the Assembly’s continued support and cooperation for policies and programmes geared towards the development of the state and the nation.
He assured that the Assembly would remain steadfast in carrying out its constitutional duties while promoting accountability, transparency, and good governance.
