KEBBI ABDUCTION: GOVERNOR ALIYU COMMISERATES WITH KAURA, DESCRIBES INCIDENT AS INHUMAN

Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has expressed deep shock and profound sadness over the recent abduction of 25 female students by gunmen at Government Girls Comprehensive School, Maga, in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

A statement signed by Abubakar Bawa, Director-General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, stated that Governor Aliyu, who is currently in Saudi Arabia for the lesser Hajj, described the incident as “very unfortunate and inhuman.”

He prayed to Almighty Allah to protect the abducted students and reunite them with their parents and loved ones.

“It is sad and heart-touching when innocent people, especially female students, are abducted by criminals,” Governor Aliyu said, expressing his deep concern over the safety and well-being of the abducted girls. “Our hearts are with the Government and good people of Kebbi State.

We pray that Almighty Allah will protect the young girls’ dignity and reunite them with their families unharmed.”

The Governor’s words of commiseration and support echo the sentiments of the entire state, as the people of Sokoto stand in solidarity with the people of Kebbi during this difficult time.

He appealed to the people of Kebbi State to intensify prayers for the safe rescue of the abducted girls, emphasizing the need for collective action in the face of such atrocities.

Furthermore, Governor Aliyu prayed for Allah’s intervention in the efforts being made by the Federal and State Governments to end banditry and other criminal activities in the country.

He called for maximum support, cooperation, and vigilance from all well-meaning citizens, stressing that only through unity and determination can the perpetrators of such heinous crimes be brought to justice.

As the people of Kebbi State and beyond anxiously await the safe return of the abducted girls, Governor Aliyu’s message brings hope and solidarity in these trying times.
