The people of Kofar Kware in Sokoto North Local Government Area are to benefit from the construction of a new mosque, an Islamiyya school and three other community development projects of their choice.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu gave the assurance on Sunday evening during a condolence visit to the community.

The Governor, who observed his Maghrib prayer at the community mosque during the visit, expressed dissatisfaction with its present condition and assured the people that his administration would reconstruct it to modern standard.

He urged the mosque committee to expedite action and submit the cost estimate for the reconstruction to the State Government to facilitate early commencement of work.

“We will award the contract for the reconstruction of this mosque to ensure that it meets the needs of the community,” the Governor said.

Governor Aliyu also directed the community leaders to identify and submit three priority projects of their choice for consideration and execution by the State Government.

“We want to ensure that this community benefits more from the development projects being executed by the present administration across the length and breadth of our dear state,” he added.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a new Sokoto State through people-oriented policies and impactful development projects.
